Product appearance inspection meets the size requirements on customer drawings. Carry out inspections required by drawings such as ultrasonic flaw detection (UT), magnetic particle flaw detection (MT), hardness, and carburization.


The inspection of the quality of wheel forgings is divided into the inspection of the appearance quality and the inspection of the internal quality.


The appearance quality inspection is generally a non-destructive inspection. It is usually inspected with the naked eye or a low magnifying glass, and if necessary, a non-destructive inspection method is also used.


Nondestructive testing methods used for quality inspection of forgings generally include: magnetic particle inspection method, penetration inspection method, eddy current inspection method, ultrasonic inspection method, etc.


The magnetic particle inspection method is widely used to inspect the surface or near surface defects of ferromagnetic metal or alloy forgings, such as cracks, hairlines, white spots, non-metallic inclusions, delamination, folding, carbide or ferrite bands. This method is only applicable to the inspection of ferromagnetic material forgings. It is not suitable for forgings made of austenitic steel.
